Business Development Executive (FMCG)

 

Job Description:

New Business Opportunities

  • Conduct market research and data analysis to identify potential business. This could include portfolio expansion, channel expansion.

  • Conduct feasibilities studies to evaluate P&L for new channel opening

Channel Expansion

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for channel expansion for designated brands in Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Retail, or other retailers

  • Expand the distribution channels for Department stores and other new potential channels

  • Align channel expansion strategies with overall company goals and objectives

Client Acquisition and Negotiation

  • Identify and approach potential partners for channel expansion

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing partners.

  • Understand partner needs and develop tailored solutions to meet those needs.

  • Lead negotiations with potential partners to establish favorable trade terms and conditions

  • Close deals and secure contracts

  • Set and track performance metrics to evaluate the success of channel expansion initiatives


Sales Strategy

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to promote our products to target markets.

 

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, and sales, to support channel expansion efforts.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to Management team on channel expansion activities and performance.


Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities, partner interactions, and deal progress.

  • Prepare regular reports on channel expansion performance.


KPI

  • New Revenue Generated and sales growth

  • Number of new businesses opened

  • Cost of Acquisition and Investment optimization/ROI for each channel

  • Brand awareness

  • Net profit

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, ideally within FMCG Retail, Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, channel. or related industry.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and data analysis skills.

  • Experience in contract negotiation and deal closure

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Thai and English or Chinese

  • Able to multitask and prioritization skill

  • Familiarity with Thailand market and ability to navigate the local landscape.
